Let Me Introduce Myself:

About Dr. Gary Stewart:

I grew up in east Texas. Came to Christ at 16. Got married and went to college at the University of Texas in Austin where I majored in math and minored in physics. While in Austin I felt the call of God to the ministry as well as did Wanda. I received a B.A. from UT in 1966 and then a M.Div. from a Baptist seminary in Jacksonville, Texas, in 1969. Finally in 1995 I received a D.Min. from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, GA.

Three unique life changing personal encounters with the living God have impacted my life. These experiences and daily communion with our loving Lord define who I am.

For more than 35 years I was a senior pastor, mostly in Texas with about 12 years in Arkansas and Alabama. My wife, Wanda, and I were married in 1963. God has wonderfully knit our hearts together in marriage and ministry. We have three children and six grandchildren.

The call upon my life is Teacher. Those who know me well will testify to this fact. I believe God has called me to be an Ephesians 4:11 teacher in the body of Christ. After 35 years of pastoring, I now feel God would have me to be more available to the body of Christ to help minister the love of God and the awe of God to the hearts of His people. I would count it an honor to share with you and your good people what God has taught and is teaching me. Thank you.
