About This Book:

It took the experience of 45 years in the ministry for Pastor Gary Stewart to be able to write this book. After years of doing personal discipleship and observing other church and ministry discipleship programs, he was troubled with the over all, long term results. After much prayer, while seeking the Father’s will about this matter, Pastor Stewart felt God directing him to write a short book entitled Rooted in Christ. As he wrote the book, he was amazed to see how clear the picture became on how to accomplish effective discipleship. The amazing discovery the Holy Spirit revealed to him as he wrote: The objective of discipleship is not discipleship; the objective of discipleship is to bring us to the full understanding of sonship.

In this short book, Pastor Stewart will lead you clearly and effectively into becoming a real, genuine disciple of Christ, son of God, and citizen of the Kingdom. At the end of the book there is a very important Plan of Action for finishing strong as a son of God.

How This Book Develops:

Chapter 1, The Underlying Reason for Discipleship, will open our understanding to what discipleship is designed to achieve in our life.

Chapter 2, Jesus Identifies His Disciples, will clarify what a true disciple of Jesus is.

Chapter 3, The Process of Entering the Kingdom of God, will show there is much more to entering the Kingdom of God than just getting saved.

Chapter 4, The Foundation Message of the Kingdom of God, looks at the Sermon on the Mount. Here Jesus tells us how citizens of the Kingdom of God should think and live.

Chapter 5, Communicating with Heaven as Sons of the Father, helps us to know how to pray as sons.

Chapter 6, Clarifying Thoughts for Radical Disciples, gives several thoughts designed to provoke positive responses.

The Addendum is additional insights that amplify God’s intended purpose for us.

The Appendix lays out a good plan for finishing strong as disciples, sons and citizens.
